Q1. What is your job?

A1. I am a hair braider and dreadlock maker, which are African hairstyles.

Q2. When did you begin making dreads?

A2. I started 15 years ago officially by myself and for 2 years in the commercial industry before I started earning money.

A3. I started 15 years ago officially by myself and for 3 years in the commercial industry before I started earning money.

Q4. What inspired you to work with dreadlocks?

A4. I cannot exactly say what inspired me to work with Dreadlocks but i do like to stand out in the crowd and be different.

Q5. What is your top three favourite music bands?

A5. My top 3 bands are German punk rock bands … bzw.deutschrock Broilers, Fair Game and Dead Hosen.

Q6. How did you become a model?

A6. Some people liked the way I looked because it was alternative so my modelling evolved from there.

Q7. What are your dreams and aspiration in life?

A7. My dream is someday to have my own brand and hair care products with my own name.

Q8. Can dreadlocks be kept clean?

A8. Dreadlocks can stay clean if people wash them regularly.

Q9. What is the maintenance routine for clean healthy dreadlocks?

A9. Maintaining clean healthy dreadlocks takes a lot of effort. If they are not kept clean they can get mould and this is why there are prejudices towards dreads. Wash regularly. Prejudices mean some people may not like dreads because they think they are dirty, its like being racist to someone.

Q10. Are dreadlocks becoming more accepted in the fashion industry and society?

A10 Dreadlocks are becoming increasingly fashionable and now almost mainstream. I’m currently working with many alternative models doing braided dreads.

Q11. Have you any future projects?

A11. In the future I will also stand again before the camera and I have planned some more projects.
